Gregg Sulkin in Sixty Six (2006)

Goofs

Sixty Six

Edit

Factual errors

Throughout the film, fans are waving Union flags, which represents the whole of the UK The flag that was waved and which should be present is the England flag, a red cross on a white background, St George's Cross.

Miscellaneous

The credits misspell the surname of the main character, Bernie, as "Reubens" instead of "Rubens", the spelling that appears several times within the film itself. His parents (Esther and Manny), as well as his grandfather (Mr. Rubens Snr), are all correctly listed with the "Rubens" spelling.

Anachronisms

To demonstrate his hatred of the England football team, Bernie throws darts at a photograph of the players in their red shirts midway through the competition. However, the photo in question was taken after the final was played. Furthermore, in relation to the film's timescale, when the scene takes place neither the team or the choice of kit had been decided upon.
When the family is on holiday in Brighton you can clearly see the rides on Brighton Pier including 'Ranger' and 'Turbo Coaster', these rides were not introduced until the early-mid 1990's.

Character error

The Rabbi refers to 'The Old Testament', a Christian term, the Jewish equivalent is the 'Tanakh'.
