Historically accurate and realistic presentation. A very moving documentary about the Cretan Resistance in the Second World War.
fourminutemile-16 August 2006
The only documentary that has made any effort to record historically important aspects of how the Greeks of Crete resisted the German invasion and occupation during and after the Battle of Crete.

Key participants and contributors of that resistance from Crete, the UK, the USA as well as participants of the German invasion and occupation force talk about their experiences.

The dedication of the director to recreate history stands out. Some of the sequences were filmed in the exact same location as the original events. Original uniforms, weapons and artifacts were used to make each sequence as real and original as possible.

A very accurate and realistic presentation. For those with any appreciation/understanding of the Cretan Resistance during World War II a very moving recreation.
