Aaron Eckhart and Catherine Zeta-Jones in No Reservations (2007)

Goofs

No Reservations

Edit

Continuity

When Kate starts the pillow fight with Zoe, she takes a pillow in her right hand, ready to swing it from right to left. On the next camera shot, she swings the pillow from left to right with both her hands.
When Zoe is eating Nick's spaghetti in the restaurant kitchen, the bowl of spaghetti alternates between full and almost empty as they switch camera angles.
When Kate and Zoe are playing Monopoly, Catherine Zeta-Jones momentarily slips into her native British accent when she says "Park Place".

Factual errors

When Kate tells Ken, the foie gras man, that her food is " Comme il faut" and she explains that it means "as it should be" it actually means "correct in behavior or etiquette"

Revealing mistakes

Blue painter's tape on the floor in the hallways between the two rooms marking the spot where the actors stand in several scenes. Also, the rug in the hallway is there when there is no blue tape, gone when the tape is there.

Crew or equipment visible

In many interior shots in the kitchen, movie cameras and lighting are reflected in the heat lamp covers and other metallic surfaces.

Errors in geography

The restaurant is supposed to be at 22 Bleecker , and at the corner of Bleecker and Charles street . But there is no restaurant at that address (the Sheen Center is located at 18 Bleecker ; the next address is 26 Bleecker) , and the corner of Bleecker and Charles street is nowhere near 22 Bleecker (368 Bleecker is more likely) .

Plot holes

No explanation is given as to what happened to Zoe's father, nor as to why Kate becomes her niece's guardian instead of him.

Character error

When Kate and Zoe are walking alongside a yellow school bus on the way to Zoe's first day at school, a mother with her son is crossing the road. As the mother and son pass the front of the bus, the son drops his book. The son tells the mom and they pause in the path of Kate and Zoe briefly before being forced to move on, leaving the book behind in order not to block Kate and Zoe. A crossing officer attempts to pick it up for them before leaving it as the mother and son exit the scene.
While playing Monopoly, Kate was excited to land on Free Parking when according to official Monopoly rules, there is no reward for landing on the space; however, it is a widely accepted house rule in most circles that there is, in fact, a generous cash prize for landing on Free Parking.
Kate doesn't look enough like Zoe to be related.
