An excellent example of short film making! ! ! ! !

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! This short film was shot on the streets of London and first screened at the 'Festival Internazionale di Cortometraggi e Nuove Immagini' (International Festival of Short Films & Images) Rome, Italy 2004 where I was lucky enough to catch it. 'On the Loose' is an excellent example of short film making at it's best. Its ultimately an emotional journey about two worlds apart being brought together by a stolen wallet - a story that teaches us how strangers can change our lives. Both the lead actresses give beautifully directed and moving performances with virtually minimal dialogue and the hand-held camera work/cinematography by Guy Corbishley is stunning. The writer/director is Manuela Mancini, who is gradually becoming a highly recognised film-making talent on the Italian / U.K. film scene & her other shorts: Jamie's Nights (2001) & Nightswimming (2003) are equally worth seeking out. 9/10
