One of the best Super Bowls ever. This one is for John!
Super Bowl XXXII without a doubt ranks as one of the best ever, mostly because of a crowning moment when one of the games legends(John Elway) finally wins the big one. It matched the heavily favored Packers and young gun Brett Favre against the underdog Denver Broncos and veteran John Elway. The game started out with a quick Packers score of a drive of 4 minutes and 76 yards. Only Denver would quickly counter with all world RB Terrell Davis to tie the game on the next drive and Davis would have 64 1st quarter rushing yards. The game would mostly go back and fourth with Brett and the Packers making key plays but costly turnovers also. And Denver looked like a one man show with the rushing of Terrell, yet the legend himself Elway made key scrambles that kept drives alive that produced touchdowns. At the half Denver had a 17-14 lead. The second half started out with Denver controlling the clock with long drives one a 93 yard drive, yet the Pack stormed back making the game 24 to 24 going into the final period. It would be to much for Green Bay though as the future game MVP would cap it off with 3 rushing touchdowns and have 157 rushing yards on 30 carries a real workhorse effort! As legend John Elway done the supporting role so well by making quick first down throws with his scrambling ability and remember John leaping for the first down! The final was Denver 31-24. The Broncos are champs at last and well deserved, and I was so happy for John Elway he deserved to win the big one. Remember this one is for John!
