Actor David Rountree tore his PCL in his left knee three days before filming began. This injury was worked into the script and replaced a "shoulder injury" that was supposed to have been there.

Kathy Lamkin signed on to this film after the original role was accepted by Linda Blair, but due to scheduling conflicts as a result of Hurricane Katrina Relief work, Linda Blair was unable to be scheduled in. Director David Rountree was quoted as saying "after seeing Kathy's work in the film, I can not imagine any one else doing that role."
