This was a marvellous, moving and heartwarming play about the true incident in Eyam, Derbyshire during the Great Plague. A box of clothing was sent to a resident of Eyam from London, consequently villagers began to go down with the dreaded plague. Courageously, they decided to isolate themselves to prevent the disease spreading through the county. More than half of the village residents died of the plague. This play marvellously portrays different various different characters, there is warmth and humour as well as courage and self-sacrifice, and it really is a delight. I wish it was available on DVD, I would love to see it again.
