This extraordinary short film is a perfect gem

This extraordinary short film is a gem, a poem that draws us through universal emotions and then quietly reveals something totally unexpected. My reaction, after watching it was one of delighted wonder - " Of course! How obvious, how did I never see that?" All the elements that make this film perfect are deceptively simple - evocative lighting, camera angles and movement and the intense acting invest the film with a sense of heightened reality that is hypnotic. It was as if a vital secret was being whispered and I found myself concentrating on every word and facial expression played. The director Michael Bentham must be congratulated for transforming the extremely good screenplay by Chris Bryans into an unusually memorable film and making it all look so easy.
