This is a video of the XWF . It has all the famous and some that are now famous wrestlers. They are in all of the current organizations. It was created from the after math and the fall of WCW. It is the last you will get to see of some of the best before they passed away. Like Hawk of the LOD and Kurt Hennig also Rocko Rock. It makes you long for the time when there was good wrestling on TV. There are some exciting new stars they show. If you're a fan of the good stuff then you will like this. If you want to see the garbage shoved done your throat every week by the WWE don't get this one. They actual wrestle on this DVD. You will be happy to see who is on this video. You will be looking real close to figure out if that was really who you thought it was. This will definitely be a classic for your collection Peter

Is this WCW?

Warning: Spoilers
I saw this DVD at Walmart, and after reading the back of it, I thought it would be nice to add it to my DVD collection. So, after getting home, I pop in the first disc, and about 20 min later, out it comes. The over the top cheesy acting, the obvious handed out signs for the fans, and the total feel of it, makes this "promotion" feel like a bad WCW worldwide taping. (Actually Worldwide used to be taped there as well). As a "mark", I've seen a lot of footage of different promotions, and have critiqued them all, and this one isn't that great. I'm amazed it lasted as long as it did. From seeing Hulk Hogan about 50 times, to seeing the fat..umm I mean Nasty Boys huff and puff in the ring, the British steroid boy do almost nothing, and of course Hail not selling anything and pretending he's the Hulkster, this DVD isn't really worth the entire $14 I paid for it.
A WCW / WWE hybrid

The commentary was done by Jerry Lawler and Tony Schiavone. I love that commentary team. Rena Mero (Sable) was the CEO while Roddy Piper was the commissioner. They have backstage segments kept to a minimum. Bobby Heenan, Dawn Marie, Jimmy Snuka, Jimmy Hart, Sonny Onoo and Jasmine St Claire all appear as managers. Hulk Hogan discusses many things in an interview including the downfall of the XWF.
It has a WWE & WCW feel to it. A lot of the talent are familiar faces, cruiser weight action, the announcing done by 2 of the most famous announcers in the 90's that worked for rival the 2 promotions. I'd suggest this for any wrestling fan.
Matches include:
Big Vito vs. Buff Bagwell
Marty Jannetty vs. Hail
Horace Hogan vs. Ian Harrison
Cruiserweight Championship Battle Royal
Nasty Boys vs. Shane Twins Curt Hennig vs. Vampiro.
Juventud Guerrera and Psychosis vs. Konnan and Ray Gonzalez
Simon Diamond vs Jerry "The King" Lawler
Hail vs. Knuckles
Johnny B. Badd vs. Norman Smiley
Shane Twins vs. The Road Warriors
Curt Hennig vs. Buff Bagwell
Marty Jannetty vs. Drezden
Horace Hogan vs. Josh Matthews
Shane Twins vs. South Philly Posse (The Public Enemy)
A.J. Styles vs. Kid
Kash for the Cruiserweight Championship Vapor vs. Jimmy Snuka Jr.
Curt Hennig and Ian Harrison vs. Buff Bagwell and Vampiro
Curt Hennig vs Hulk Hogan

Avoid this. first of all it comes on 3 discs, less than an hour each, they could have fitted all onto one disc. The matches were very short and boring. The episodes were taped in 2001. If this DVD set were bought back then, it would have been exciting as some of the wrestlers featured hadn't seen for a long time, such as L.O.D., Nasty Boz, Hulk Hogan (who is only featured in one short and basic match), Superfly, Roddy Piper and Rena Mero (Sable). The episodes consisted mostly of WCW rejects and a few new faces. However, it does also feature wrestlers who are big time now, but not well known back then, such as AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Kid Kash,
