Touching

This is a movie/mini series with many bad sides. But it is still a movie which should be seen by more than just the very limited audience it has reached out to. I know it's not hard to find this "movie" nowadays, and especially if you're not Swedish, or at least speak Swedish. But if you ever get the chance to see it, then take it! Though it's faults it's a very touching and beautiful movie about how complicated life is, seen from the suburban life including cultural problems, family issues and opportunities that presents and that doesn't present themselves. For those who don't have any experience of the (swedish =)) suburbs, it's a rarely seen and very positive way to get some.

Not that great (May contain SPOILERS)

Warning: Spoilers
It is hard to follow up on Hammarkullen and this series was an attempt to do just that. Hammarkullen had a huge amount of characters who all found a specific place in the 4 hr series and managed to add to the main storyline. It was artistic symbollic and beautiful and portrayed multiculture thought the way it should be and with its share of problems. It was comedic and sad at the same time.

This series starts of good, exploring the suburban gangs of Sweden.....but it just takes a huge dive downwards when the characters start singing! It makes this series feel unrealistic and every time the characters start singing (Which happens very often) it just feels dumbed down and more like a kids play than a serious movie.

The characters are way to stereotype and uninteresting at the same time. This was a disappointment, i would choose Hammarkullen over this any time of the day.

A lot of nonsense

The first time I watched these episodes about one of the 'ghettos' in Gothenburg called Bergsjön, I thought it was really cool - why, I can't remember. The second time watching it I started noticing how stupid everything about this movie was. There is no real plot and the actors are, well, bad... Whatever they do as actors and actresses seems fake and too rehearsed. My friends and I nowadays joke about this stuff, just as we joke about the movie Sökarna, which is famous for bad acting, stupid plot, and things that are apparent in Kniven i hjärtat. It is very much worth watching, but don't go expecting it all to feel real.
