I saw this beautiful film at its premier on Sanibel Island, Florida, and was moved beyond words by its sensitive story of such a beautiful, talented young man. Jock Soto's career ended in retirement at age 40 (I hope this is not a "spoiler.) after 25 years with the New York City Ballet. And what a tragedy for those of us who've not had the privilege to see him dance in person. His dancing, at least what little could be shown in the film, moved me to tears; his story can only inspire and give hope to young persons caught in the circumstances of whatever life in a minority existence gives them. I applaud Gwendolen Cates for her sharing Jock Soto with the world. I applaud Jock Soto for the spirit that moves him beyond the dance, and carries us all into the magical.
