I'm the screenwriter for "Wilderness Within" , which is a true story, told to me by the old man at the ending scene, just months before he passed away, characterized by a local actor. I knew both Papou & YiaYia well, when they were old and gray. The director has done a wonderful job of turning my poignant story into a memorable short film. The script was awarded production funding by the Greek Film Centre. This award-winning film has been selected for screening at over 35 important film festivals in the US and Europe, and was premiered at the Moondance International Film Festival, in Boulder, Colorado USA, to an enthusiastic audience and full house, with the director & screenwriter in attendance.
