When Ben stops as he's about to stab Becca, the pitchfork tines have no visible blood on them. Then, as he's approaching Judy, the tines leave a trail of blood on the floor.
When in the morgue, after the sheriff kills the mortician, he begins to back away from the still running saw. In this scene, the cord of the saw is clearly running towards him and is actually over his leg. In the following scenes, the cord is no longer connected behind him, but on the complete opposite side of the room.
When the deputy takes the shotgun back from the sheriff, he shoulders the shotgun twice.
The semi truck is on raised service platform except when David drives away and it is level with the ground.
After the sheriff's wife, Judy (Radha Mitchell) is processed into the military hospital and wakes up strapped to a gurney, she looks down at the straps holding her down to the gurney and they each have a push button release labeled "Press". Since the film image has been reversed in post-production to help show her on the left side of the hospital tent, the letters on the strap are also reversed.
Municipal drinking water isn't used for massive irrigation in a farm community. The Mayor refused to allow the drinking water to be shut off, in part because he says it would kill the crops.
No tires are burning in any scene of burning cars. Completely burning cars would have burning tires as well, as they burn easily and for a long time.
A town of 1200 people wouldn't have its own medical examiner unless the doctor was also certified. In this case it was the local mortician.
Minutes after the nuclear blast, the two main characters crawl out of the truck. They would have been totally covered in radioactive dust and be dead soon (possibly hours/days) thereafter.
In the morgue scene where David fights with the mortician, they struggle over a powered-on bone saw. The problem is, a powered bone saw will not cut flesh. The blade works very similar to a cast-saw in that it only vibrates against something hard, like bone matter.
The majority of rural communities have wells, instead of municipal water services. Shutting down the water from the water tower would only have affected those people living inside of the town itself or those close enough to receive municipal water. It would have done nothing to prevent contamination from groundwater sources.
This makes the mayor's comments about not shutting off the water even more incongruous as there are clearly fields surrounding his rural home so he would know the source(s) of water for his home and his area.

When the police car is trapped in the car wash, it is clearly in NEUTRAL, not DRIVE and the wheels freely turn while on the travel rack. This is an error for two reasons:
The rack prevents this from occurring in real life as it would severely damage the car and the car wash's machinery if the wheel could spin. Additionally, there are no scenes of the sheriff (who was driving) putting the car in NEUTRAL when he stopped it.

The old police car does not have partition between the front and rear seats.
The sheriff pulls a lighter from the store display, flicks it, and it lights. It is a new in box Zippo. They have no lighter fluid in them.
When the Sheriff and Deputy are hiding in the Sheriffs office. The deputy loads his shotgun, the last shell he pushes in falls out again in his lap just before he cocks the weapon.
When the camera is overhead after David shot Rory, Russell is standing next to second base which is now incorrectly located in the shortstop position.
When Russell is walking up after David shoots Rory, second base is to the right of them, but when the camera is overhead, second base is directly behind Russell.
When the sheriff's old car leaves the car wash no doors on the driver's side are open. When the missile hits it doors are open on both sides.
The helicopter that attacks Dutten and his posse is a AH-1G HueyCobra, which is a very outdated helicopter from the 1960s that was relegated to reserve use until it was retired in 2001.
When David arrives on the scene of the fire at the Farnum home, he is told that Bill was mowing the lawn while Deardra Farnum and her son were found locked inside a closet. However, the structure is still entirely ablaze and firefighters were trying to put it out. Considering gasoline was poured down the stairs, it is impossible any of the firefighters could have gotten close enough to find them locked inside a closet.
Although the sheriff is stabbed through the hand, and his hand is bandaged for the rest of the movie, he has no pain: he starts and drives the car OK; he punches the deputy with full force, and does other things throughout the movie. Yet, at the end, as he puts his injured hand over Judy's shoulder, and she reaches up and barely touches his hand, he says OW.
When captured by the crazies in the house, the woman picks up the sheriff's gun and says, "This is the gun that killed your father." However, she's holding a revolver. The sheriff clearly shot her husband with an automatic pistol.
When Russel explains to David that he saves his life three times throughout the movie, you only see two times.
