Jeetendra and Rekha made a special appearance for a song in the film Naya Bakra 1979. That song was reused in the film.
An old Mohammed Rafi song from the unreleased film Aakhri Mughal directed by Kamal Amrohi is used in the film.
For years there was mass confusion between the films Aashiana 1986 and Jism Ka Rishta 1989. But this is what actually happened. Producer Kuljit Pal sold the film Aashiana to Kingi at some point before its release. But Aashiana did eventually release. Kingi still went ahead with his plan. He added scenes to the film Aashiana ( new scenes with actor Mohan Choti, Haider Ali's song, A song in the beginning of the film by a lake) to Jism Ka Rishta. He then went and added unused scenes/footage of Aashiana and added that to his "New" film Jism Ka Rishta. Kingi next recorded a few new songs with music director Deedar Singh. He also added Jeetendra and Rekha's song from Naya Bakra. Next he added a Mohammed Rafi song of Raj Kiran from another film. Kingi also shot a new title sequence that was different from Aashiana. All this was done to make the audience believe "Jism Ka Rishta" was a new and different film from Aashiana. All Kingi did was re-edit Aashiana add new scene's/songs, and try to make his own film. One is not sure why the producer Kuljit Pal agreed to do this. Many of the stars involved were not even aware of a project called "Jism Ka Rishta".
Another reedited and released version of "Aashiana"(1986) was the 1991 movie "Jism Aur Jaan".
