When the gang is breaking into the studio using a stolen ID card to replace the video near the end of the movie, they swipe the card in the card reader but the magnetic stripe is visible on the shorter side of the card facing up (toward the camera, perpendicular to the card reader), and the side that is swiped is the long side of the card. Then, the reader light shows red, which is generally how readers react if the card is not recognized (the light should turn green if the card swipe is valid). The crew then enters the door anyhow.
