Robin Williams, Cheryl Hines, Josh Hutcherson, and JoJo in RV (2006)

Goofs

RV

Edit

Continuity

In the sequence where we meet the Gornickes for the first time, Billy's right front tooth is only about a quarter of the way grown in. When he meets Bob in the Bathroom later that night, the same tooth is about halfway grown in. When they leave the next day, it's all the way grown in.
In the conversation following Travis hosing Bob down, Bob's shirt is dry.
The camera focuses on Cassie and Earl "making out" while sitting next to each other, but when the shot goes back to the front of the RV you can see the back of Earl's head. He's suddenly sitting back at the table next to his sister. According to JoJo there was a longer/different kissing scene here which was cut.
When Bob throws the stink bomb into the RV, he throws it towards the middle of the RV. But when the smoke starts coming out, it comes out of the front windows first.
After Bob rides the bicycle out of the lake, he is soaked in water. Yet, in shots immediately after, he is completely dry.

Factual errors

When Bob and the RV are stuck at the top of a mountain road with all wheels off the ground and he guns the gas pedal the RPM goes up to 6000 RPM, yet the speedometer is still at zero. When you have transmission in gear and wheels turn, regardless of ground contact or not, the speedometer will still register your speed through rotation of rear wheels thru the transmission which is in gear.

Revealing mistakes

When Bob is on the toilet using his Blackberry, it displays "NO SIGNAL", yet the Blackberry screen shows 5 bars for battery strength and three bars for signal strength.
The side view mirrors on the "Rolling Turd" are frosted, probably so that they would not reflect the crew.
When the RV is shown driving down the two-lane highway at the end of the movie just before the squad car pulls it over, it is in the left/wrong lane with the center yellow paint markings to its right - possibly because the camera vehicle is in the other lane, alongside it, or possibly a flipped shot.
When Bob is run over by the RV, tire tracks in the dirt show that Bob just laid down behind the RV as it rolled forward.
Early in the movie, when Bob makes a last minute hard turn at the corner, the pop-out slides out revealing that it has no sides to it.

Miscellaneous

When the cop radios "we got him; we're just ahead of you" he is using his police radio. But when Barry and Gary show up moments later, they are in a regular car, and no backup police car arrives with them. They say, "you got him! Thanks, Sam. We owe you one." But if they didn't arrive with a police car, they couldn't have heard the transmission.
Bob and Jaime have blue eyes, but Cassie and Carl have brown eyes. Cassie and Carl should also have blue eyes.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Bob Munro first meets Travis Gornicke at the dump station, the camera pans to show Travis walking up wearing cowboy boots; however, the accompanying sound effect suggests he is also wearing spurs even though he is not.
Early in the movie there is a scene with Bob speaking with his boss Todd. When the camera is focused on Bob, the back of Todd's head can be seen. In that shot Todd's words don't match up with the motions his jaw is seen making.

Errors in geography

On entering Colorado, the welcome signs are very characteristic and not white text on green background. The authentic welcome signs have, "Welcome to Colorful Colorado." This movie was filmed in the Canadian Rockies and Likely none of the folks associated with the film had ever driven to Colorado.
Along with the Welcome to Colorado signs being incorrect as previously mentioned, none of the roads entering Colorado from Utah are in a lush green forest area with large snow-capped ragged mountains. All roads are in dry areas with scrub brush flat or rolling land and low mountains or plateaus in the distance.

Boom mic visible

When Bob chases down the Gornickes on the bike, when Jamie gets off their bus to talk to Bob, you can see a boom mic over her head.
