In 2018, Edgar Hansen pled guilty of fourth degree sexually assaulting a teenager girl (15 years old) known it as Jane Doe due to federal law that protect under age victims. He faces no jail time. He got a suspended sentence of 364 days in a fine of $1653. He also must undergo a sexual-deviancy evaluation and treatment and give a DNA sample to authorities. As of today neither Discovery nor deadliest catch actors or producers have made any comments regarding the situation. Edgar has since been removed from the show. Though they did not address his situation in the show.
The only vessel to remain on the show since Season 1 is the F/V Northwestern, currently captained by Sig and Mandy Hansen.
