The only game of the series to include the Cleaning ability and the bosses Pon & Con until Kirby Star Allies (2018) released two decades later.
The fifth game of the Kirby canon and last one of the 1990s.
Final first-party SNES game to be released in North America.
Although the western version of the game features the romanized pill-shaped Nintendo logo that has continuously been in use since 1975, the Japanese version features the original Kanji logo used from 1889 to 1950. This is rarely seen in Japanese versions of Nintendo games, with most opting for the usual romanized logo.
There's a hidden screen in the game which is only accessible at the end of Boss Butch mode. To get to it press X+L+R after defeating Zero, just before the screen fades to black. If done correctly, the hidden screen will appear instead of the credits.
