The teams and their coaches react to the latest fight announcement in their respective locker rooms. The fighters for the upcoming bout feel confident in their ability to come out victorious. Back at the house, last episode's loser struggles with the agonizing pain of defeat while his teammates try to console him. As the competition heats up, Conor goes back to the gym to work with his fighters. Having a very clear idea of how the next fight will unfold, Conor devotes his practice to a series of mat exercises and grappling drills. Meanwhile, during Team USA practice, Urijah expresses concern over his next fighter's technical abilities. He works hard with him in the cage, doing his best to get him ready in a very limited amount of time. The fighters get a much-needed night out and meet up with the coaches at a sushi restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip. They let loose in a jovial atmosphere and enjoy good food and libations while reflecting on their amazing experience thus far. However, as the days pass, it becomes clear that not all competitors seem to be relishing their time on The Ultimate Fighter. American Chris Gruetzemacher reveals to his teammate that he is unhappy and ready to be done with the competition. The time finally comes for the fourth preliminary fight and both fighters give it their all in the cage. After Urijah and Conor exchange their usual friendly banter, the winning coach picks the matchup for the fifth preliminary fight, which promises to be quite a fierce stand up battle.

After Dana White greets the fighters and outlines a few exciting new twists for Season 14, 16 bantamweight and 16 featherweight hopefuls face off in a day of elimination fights at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Coaches Michael Bisping and Jason "Mayhem" Miller take in the action from the sidelines.

Coaches Michael Bisping and Jason Miller select their teams from the crop of victorious Featherweights and Bantamweights. The first matchup is chosen, and one fighter is forced to deal with his severe anxiety issues.

Tempers flare during a Team Bisping practice. As the pranks ramp up a nasty rivalry brews between Akira Corassani and Dustin Neace, while John Dodson forms an alliance with members of the blue team. Then, two bantamweights square off in the second quarterfinal fight.

Bisping uses insider information to prepare his next fighter. Mayhem tries to identify who on his team is consorting with the enemy. Preliminary fights 3 and 4 result in a Featherweight and a Bantamweight moving ahead in the competition.

Mayhem hatches a sneaky plan to throw off Team Bisping. The rivalry between Akira Corassani and Dustin Neace turns ugly, setting off a melee at the gym. Team Mayhem goes for its fifth straight win as two more featherweights face off.

An infected foot puts Roland's fight future in doubt. Annoyed by TJ's cockiness, Akira and Diego teach him a painful lesson in training. After the last preliminary fight, Dana announces the semifinal matchups.

Team pranks reach a new high as Bisping and Tiki execute their master plan against Team Miller. Akira's antics earn him a handful of new enemies. A spot in the Featherweight finale is at stake when Akira faces Dennis in the first Semifinal.

In the coaches' challenge, Miller and Bisping play a high stakes game of air hockey on the roof of the Palms. And Bantamweight semifinalists TJ Dillashaw and Dustin Pague contend for a spot in the finale.

The last two semifinals determine who will move on to the finale. Bantamweight Johnny Bedford looks to shut down loud-mouthed teammate John Dodson. And loose cannon Diego Brandao challenges nervous Nellie Bryan Caraway for the Featherweight slot.

Featherweights Diego and Siler settle their feud in the Octagon. Bisping mouths off to Team Miller. TJ makes a claim that turns his teammates against him. A second fight sends one more competitor to the Semis.
