Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Uday Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Dhoom 2 (2006)

Goofs

Dhoom 2

Edit

Continuity

While watching the movie "Cars" in a theatre Aryan, Jai and Sunehri are shown to be talking for barely 5 minutes. But the scenes of the movie which are shown in the middle of their conversations are very far apart. This is not possible because they have been talking for barely 5 minutes.
In the initial song of the movie, A's shirt changes from having dirt stains, to clean, back to dirt stains in continuous shots.

Factual errors

Shonali says that a Mauser 9mm does 3000FPS. In reality no handgun can do that. Only assault rifles like the AK, M16AI can deliver a muzzle velocity of that magnitude. Mauser 9mm can have a muzzle velocity around 2000-2200 FPS.

Revealing mistakes

After the initial robbery of the Crown in the desert when Mr A is escaping the guards, and is sand-surfing, a separate trail track is clearly visible on the sand. Its obvious that there is a retake and the film-maker did not clean the earlier tracks.
Both actors Hrithik Roshan (Aryan/Mr A) and Aishwarya Rai (Sunehri) are naturally very fair-complexioned. But the character styling in this movie required them each to appear well-tanned - via bronzing makeup, as needed. In their 'Dhoom Again' title song dance together over the end credits, however: because of the various lifts required by the choreography, the longer they dance the more of Aishwarya's 'tan' accumulates on Hrithik's white trousers.

Errors in geography

In the chase sequence towards the movie's end, while in Brazil, Aryan and Sunehri are shown driving their bike on the left side of the road along with the other traffic, when vehicles drive on the right side of the road in Brazil. This is because the chase scene was in fact filmed in Durban, South Africa.

Plot holes

When the police officer explains he has understood the pattern of the thief 'A', he quotes his previous thefts (Paris and London) then explains all the locations of his acts draws a big 'A' on the map. Then he shows the map, but neither London nor Paris are figured on the map.
An ACP police officer in Mumbai would have no jurisdiction in Brazil. If he did, he should have arrested the thief the moment he met him in Carnival seeing as the only proof he gained from waiting until after the theft was carried out was the thief's A symbol.
