Fearless Files a Mining Claim
boblipton1 June 2015
Lafe McKee is so broke he only has one set of evening clothes to wear. His daughter, Reata Hoyt, will have to marry creditor George Magrill unless Edmund Cobb can find the lost Pegleg Gold Mine. Fortunately, Cobb doesn't know he is also lost, because he has Fearless the Famous Police Dog Star with him.

Several of the "Fearless" short subjects produced by Joe Rock have a definite tongue-in-cheek air to them, but this one, despite the absurdity of the story, seems to be handled as a straight melodrama by co-producer and director Ernest van Pelt, even though he had once been an assistant director for Chaplin, Perhaps that absurdity was enough for the production team to satisfy their bent for comedy. I know I had some fun writing that description above.
