This is really different. It was a home made film that was entered in the Fangoria film contest for violent films, and it was a winner. It's about some dude that is chopping salad and accidentally chops his finger off. The finger goes missing and turns out to be alive. He keeps it in a cage and feeds it and gives it water, but it grows lonely. So he chops another finger off. What happens when the two fingers want a family?.....take a guess. Original, though kind of stupid. It has no talking in it, but why would it need it? It will amuse you. You will find this short on the DVD Fangoria presents Blood Drive.

Man and His Finger, A (2004)

A man is chopping up some lettuce when he accidentally cuts off his finger. He places the finger, which is still alive, in a cage and raises it like a dog but one day the finger decides that he wants love with another finger. There's a pretty good idea behind this short but it's never as funny as it should have been. The idea is clever and there are a couple very good scenes but throughout the running time I never really got involved with anything that was going on. The film tries to be overly cute and in some ways it is but the thing just never works as good as it should. There's some decent gore for those wanting that.
