Harvesting Horror: Children of the Corn (2004)

*** 1/2 (out of 4)

Highly entertaining look at the making of CHILDREN OF THE CORN. We get interviews with director Fritz Kiersch as well as actors John Franklin and Courtney Gains. At just over 36 minutes this is an extremely good look at the making of the picture, which includes stories of how the film got into production, the low-budget, the casting and then various details about the shooting schedule in Iowa.

If you're a fan of the film then you're really going to enjoy this piece because it's really one great story after another. All three come across great and they certainly know how to tell a good story. After watching this featurette you'll certainly feel as if you were on the set and know how much trouble there was due to the budget. There's some great discussion about the special effects at the end and how they were created.
