I just saw Film 101 in Melbourne, Florida at a festival. While not originally on the schedule, I am glad it was ultimately included.
I enjoyed this film about the making of a student film. It was quite funny, and I thought the acting was great. I think it could have been trimmed a tad to step up the pacing a little and shorten it a bit, but it is a very noble effort.
The film touches on dilemmas faced by any student filmmaker, such as financing, inexperienced, forgetful and disappearing crew members, technical difficulties, actors dropping out, locations, etc.
It is definitely well-written, well-directed, well-shot and well-acted.
