Will Ferrell in Wake Up, Ron Burgundy (2004)

Goofs

Wake Up, Ron Burgundy

Edit

Continuity

Upon spotting The San Diego Observatory, Champ lowers the rock from his head twice.
At the Tino's restaurant, Veronica laughs with her mouth closed, then open.
Ron has a sexual fantasy of making love with Veronica; they jump onto the conference table, breaking it and all of its supplies slip off - leaving only a plain newspaper. Even so, one shot shows a yellow notepad next to the newspaper.
Brick's amount of masticated coffee filter in his mouth.
Veronica's handcuff is either clipped or liberated.

Revealing mistakes

The reflection of Ron Burgundy's sunglasses reveals that the helicopter is on the ground, not flying.
Obvious dummy of bear that Ron and Brick confront.

Anachronisms

While driving to the observatory, the cars passed by are recent models as opposed to 1970s models
During the Alarm Clock robbery sequence and Mouse's oration, contemporary automobiles are visible passing in the window.
While Ron drives home with Veronica gazing down at her, a car shop containing 1990-circa automobiles are seen outside of Veronica's window.
The night skyline of San Diego is clearly modern-day as opposed to how it was in the 1970s.
Budweiser signs are visible in the bar scene, which would be impossible to exist until 1982.

Crew or equipment visible

When Ron is flying the news helicopter in the beginning, the camera crew is reflected in his sunglasses.

Character error

When the news team get out of their car they are told the San Diego Observatory is over an adjacent mountain pass at which point Champ questions how they can get up there as it is so rough and they eventually resort to using off-road tricycles.

However, the previous scene showed that the 'Alarm Clock' group had driven the stolen news team truck up to the observatory, implying there is a serviceable road, thus easy to access by car (as with most observatories around the world).
