The story encompasses "Les Malheurs De Sophie" "Les Petites Filles Modèles" and "Les Vacances" .In her parents' castle,in spite of her cousin Paul who struggles to keep her on the straight and narrow,Sophie always has ideas which backfire on her .After many misfortunes, her family and Paul's have to sail across the Atlantic to come into the late Mister Fichini's fortune.Sophie loses her mom and Paul his parents in a shipwreck.Sophie's dad remarries with Miss Fichini,the dead rich man's protegee.Sadly,Sophie 's father dies and her stepmother is a child-batterer .Later,she is welcomed in Madame De Fleurville's castle ,where she meets up with Camille and Madeleine again .There ,live Madame De Rosbourg ,captain of the doomed ship and her daughter,Marguerite.During the holidays Sophie spends with her friends and their cousins ,Paul ,who was saved from the wreckage by the captain ,reappears .
