For some young adults, dreams may be all they have to live for. Especially when living in the inner-city. For some, life seems dismal, lost and not worth living. As a young lady, a dream deferred can be even more detrimental. TOURNAMENT OF DREAMS is a touching American journey that follows six young ladies on the Woodlyn High School Lady Cavaliers Basketball Team as they strive to achieve their dreams, while facing the adversities of life head on. When the school's principal is faced with the threat of having their basketball program canceled, the team and certain faculty members must go beyond a dream and search for a miracle in determining whether the Lady Cavs are worth saving. After careful convincing and a little persuasion by his prodigy daughter, a new coach; a former basketball star of merit comes in play to take the team to heights they have yet to soar, not only on the court, but in their personal lives as well. He guides the Lady Cavs to a winning season, but not before forcing them to bounce back from various adversities; peer pressure, grades, dating, the discovery of their sexual preference, inter-racial marriage relations, parental divorce and loss of loved ones.
