Clever but too short.

Leanne is a girl who looks to be about 12 or 13. Her father is a bit of a nut and an aspiring actor. When this overly involved dad hears that Leanne has a school project, he envisions it being a huge production and he has tons of irrelevant suggestions--such as him being part of the presentation. His daughter reminds him that although he might have played a soldier, he never really was a soldier! Leanne obviously is the adult in this family and again and again, she has to bring her father back down to earth. Watching their interactions and the father's incredible enthusiasm is a lot of fun.

Despite this being a very good film, the problem for me, is that although I enjoyed the film, it was just way too short. I was left wanting more and liked the dynamics the writer had created between these two--though oddly, you had no mention of where the mother was in all this. See this film--it's worth it.
