A decent "Twilight Zone"-like short
planktonrules3 February 2009
Well, it sure looked like Roy liked this film. While he's completely ridiculous in his praise for this little film, he wrote a cool review and I am happy that his girlfriend (who he doesn't have) made passionate love to him after he showed her this film--which, according to him, makes CITIZEN KANE and other great films look like filth compared to BOTTOM FLOOR!

BOTTOM FLOOR is a nice little independent film that about a corporate wheeler dealer who is a total jerk. The guy is crass, rude and thinks he is above everyone. By the end of the film, he enters what appears to be the Twilight Zone...of sorts.

Clever writing, decent production values and short and sweet--it's worth a look. Just DON'T trust Roy--he's touched (but very funny).

And watch as your head explodes from ridiculousness. And then see your future children burn in a fiery death from its ignorance. And then understand that there's limit to "oh how cute."

And "look what they can do!" It's BS. And they know. Stop watching this horrible messmaking.

This is not the worst film ever made. This is not the most 'ugh-arific' movie ever made, this is one in a chain of films that has been manufactured, like that out of a car factory, to imitate, mock and satire the old and the retro. But instead of saying something new or using this imitation for a higher idea, it's stale, boring and stagnant. It's paralyzing to art like a boa constrictor wrapping his body around you and squeezing anything good that may have been there. And apparently, with the Dastolis, there isn't much.

Thank you.

A new standard in American cinema

Citizen Kane...Casablanca...Gone with the Wind...what do all these films have in common? None of them hold a candle to the cinematic juggernaut that is Bottom Floor. The direction, the story, the cinematography, the music, the dialogue, the story...all of it adds up to perhaps the greatest movie experience...of all-time. During one scene, a bum asks a greedy corporate exec for some change. He goes "Hey buddy, how about a dime?" To which the greedy exec replies, "How about a job?" Perfection. One time I showed Bottom Floor to my girlfriend, and she immediately made love to me. And I don't even have a girlfriend! That's how good this movie is! So if you're still reading this comment, stop right now and go see this movie! It's awesome!
