What the title says, the crew elaborating on the movie

"The Making of 'Ararat'" is a Canadian English-language documentary from 2003, so it had its 15th anniversary last year and of course this is about the film Ararat by Atom Egoyan. I have recognized that some of his works, especially his short films have received very unfavorable ratings here on imdb, which from my perspective is probably due to his political background. I will not go into detail about that, but there is really no way that somebody can rate this one we have here a 1 or 2 from a fair and unbiased perspective. Even if you are not really fond of the film it is about, it is insightful and informative most of the time. I thought the proportion between how much screen time Egoyan, the star if you want to say so, and how much time the rest of the crew working in key positions get here fits kinda well. It needs to be understood that this is not really or only very vaguely about the film in terms of subject and story. There are some references, but it is really much more about technical components. And from that perspective this slightly under a half hour certainly works I would say. So I give this one a thumbs-up and honestly I have seen many making-of/behind-the-scenes documentaries in my life and most of them were not as good. It's probably not on the level where you would immediately want to (re)watch Ararat, but if you like the film, then this is definitely worth checking out. Go for it.
