- Katarina fights her various foes with a number of weapons. She normally fights with a sword/sabre, but can also unleash attacks with throwing knives, explosive mini kegs, throwing axes, hammers, voodoo darts and natural attacks (ice, lightning, fire) from magical Tiki statues. Damaging attacks to foes and Katarina are shown with a small burst of red pixels some may confuse with blood. Foes disappear upon being defeated.

- Several islands are seen as a haven for the undead; living/sentient skeletons, floating skulls and disembodied spirits/ghosts inhabit them and will attack the player upon sight. These islands are under dark storm clouds with consistent thunder and lightning.
