Prepare to Meet Thy God (PTMTG) is a dark comedy loosely based on Hans Christian Anderson's fable of the mythilogical Phoenix Bird who was cast out of the Garden of Eden along with Adam and Eve. Supposedly the bird lives 500 hundred years and then burns itself to death leaving a red egg that becomes a new Phoenix. In PTMTG the Phoenix bird becomes a 1973 Trans Am Convertable Firebird and the story is set in a place opposite the garden of Eden: Bakersfield, CA. Set along the deseret HWY our hero Eddie Fudkins meets Samantha Rekcor along a roadside Kareoke bar. Here the bartender/devil seduces them with alcohol and they ultimately end up leaving together for a little joy ride down the HWY 2 Hell...
