Sex & Nudity

  • The Opera Singer's dress reveals some cleavage.

Violence & Gore

  • There is no blood or gore, but you can die and be attacked in many scary ways, including getting bitten by spider fangs, slashed by axes and scythes, hit with fireballs, impaled with shuriken-like ribs, ect.
  • To collect a soul gem from the friendly ghosts, you have to reassemble their death certificates which reveal their darkly comedic demises. The Opera Singer for instance shattered the ceiling and sent it crumbling down, while the Organist ignored a raging fire to focus on his music.
  • One of the friendly ghosts is a Beheaded Knight who holds his own head in his arm. His colorless death certificate picture depicts his head being severed on the guillotine; There in no noticeable blood, but you can briefly make out the stump on his neck.
  • Sometimes you encounter large man-eating worms that explode into green goo when you shoot them.
  • Your weapon is an arcane lantern powered by gems that shoot bolts of energy at you opponents. When defeated, they either fall onto the floor or evaporate into mist.
  • When Zeke is defeated, he falls onto the floor before being floated back onto his feet. When he loses all of his lives, he painfully collapses and a "Game Over" sign appears on the screen.

Profanity

  • "Blasted" is used once in the Mausoleum

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In the sitting room, you can speak with the two drunken ghosts from the ballroom scene in the ride, slurring their speech and hiccuping.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This is a very intense and eerie game, but also fairly family friendly.
  • You encounter many frightening enemies that threaten to literally scare you to death. These include a floating banshee with a skeletal face and a deadly scream, giant spiders that use their silk to reel you towards them, a giant gargoyle that sends little skeletons running to you, a skeleton that wields a coffin lid for a shield and hurls its ribs at you, an axe wielding suit of armor that charges aggressively, and a demonic reaper that appears behind you and attacks with a large scythe.
  • Some rooms are more intense than others; The Children's Room for instance requires you to enter the closet where the reaper chases you through a claustrophobic maze full of gaps in the floor. Another one is the Mausoleum, a two minute survival level. The Winter Garden has floors that collapse if you stand on them for too long and the Pantry sends to to an eerie parallel world with deadly maggots and distorted imaging.
  • Other levels like the Toy Room, the Study, the Museum, and the Dining Room are more challenging than they are creepy.
  • The more bravery/health you lose, the more terrified Zeke's image next to it looks. When you die, Zeke is slumped over with black, hollow eyes.
