As it is stated by Móricka earlier in the movie, successful time travel depends on physical contact (holding each other's hand) of all the travelers. However, upon returning from the stone age it is clear that no such contact is present.
At the end of the movie, a tram is heading forth on the left one of a pair of tracks. Hungary has a "keep to right" policy on traffic - even in the case of trams.
