Interesting documentary... but only if you like the band
This film is a documentary, in the style of Michael Moore's work, but instead of focusing on social problems, this film focuses on Mexico's oldest rock band, EL TRI.
Often compared to the Rolling Stones in style and age, El TRI was among the first rock bands to start composing in Spanish during the 60s, and are precursors of the Rock En Español movement of the 80s.
In the film, it features the story of the band, as told by its charismatic leader Alex Lora; he speaks of the beginning of the band and about how it has changed through history. We see the band preparing for a gig during their South American tour, and we can get a glimpse of their lives when they are not playing.
As a film, it is of good quality, and it has nice camera-work. However, since it is focused on a rock band, there is not very much to tell, and although it is important for historical reasons, the film will only be of interest to fans of the band.
