In the scene where Rachel/Ellis is given insulin, the power socket behind her has a cable plugged in which disappears between shots.
In the scene where Ellis is barely conscious after an insulin overdose, she struggles to find her handbag and knocks over a tub of British 'Players' cigarettes looking for chocolate: in the next shot she is munching the chocolate, but the tub of cigarettes have righted themselves.
Around 1:28:57 Ellis returns from the basement after having broken open the oil covered door yet she comes back to the ladies room with her feet dirty but her hands pristine.
At around 1:27:48 when Ellis is trying to pry to open the basement door, we see that it is covered in oil. In the next cut, from the counter axis, the same doors (now open) doors are completely dry.
When the underground people sit around the table listening to the two Nazis, Carice's cigarette goes from having a little piece of ash, to a long piece and back to a short piece again.
Insulin, even injected directly into the blood stream, would not act as fast as shown to lower blood sugar.
The B-17 is dropping "slick" bombs at low altitude. They would need to use high drag "retarded" bombs to prevent them from detonating under the plane.
People are traveling by train, while in real life no trains were going any more at that point in the war.
After the "Hunger Winter" of 1944, there are no sheep in the fields any more, as are shown in the last part when they are following Hans. Furthermore you can see cut maize growing. This crop could not be present at that time. Nowadays cut maize is one of the most grown crops in the Netherlands but not in 1945.
Several bicycles are shown with rubber tires. At that point in the war, only bikes with wooden tires were available.
A torch is used to cut the hinges off of a metal door during the rescue scene. When the door is removed, it is handled right next to the cut hinge. In reality, the metal would be so hot it would be impossible to handle without serious injury.
When Ellis is driving the Jeep, Gerben says "Go Left" and they turn right and find what they are looking for on that road up ahead.
In a scene where the resistance fighter knocks down a German with a metal rod, the soldier is wearing a helmet which would have easily absorbed the impact of the rod and saved the soldier.
The Holland scenes ostensibly take place in April, 1945. By that time, most of Holland had already been liberated by the Allied forces. There is mention of British forces being defeated at Arnhem, which was in Sept, 1944, and the subsequent preparation for Hitler's birthday would mark the date as close to April, 1945.
The stylized maple leaf symbol displayed below the windshield of Dr. Akkermans' jeep was designed in the 1960's for the national flag. Before then, maple leaf designs were more naturalistic.
In a scene shot in a powder room, on the wall behind the actress one can see a modern type lavatory-paper holder which did not exist in that time.
During the gala party held at German headquarters, the drummer is playing a natural wood-finish Premier (British) drum set manufactured in the 1980's-1990's. A period drum set from the mid 1940's would probably have been a white-pearl finish and the drum sizes, hardware and positioning would have been altogether different.
You can hear the sound of common swifts while they try to kidnap Van Gein. These birds migrate in august and are not present in the Netherlands during winter.
Ellis is living in a secret room behind a fake cabinet with the Christian family yet this room has a fairly large window which would give its existence away and the Nazis would easily be able to look into that room from the outside. Logically, this would be a windowless room.
Rachel is seen eating from a large block of chocolate after being injected with millilitres of insulin. (A typical dose being a small fraction of a millilitre.) Although the delay between injection and taking effect is a lot longer than depicted in the film, this would only buy Rachel a small amount of time. She would need to seek immediate medical attention.
The events of the film take place in 1944-45. Ellis meets Ronnie again in 1956 at the kibbutz in Israel - only 11 years later and doesn't recognize her at all even though only a decade has passed and Ronnie's appearance hasn't changed all that much.
