Great spoof on Bollywood

Spoofs in Bollywood films are rarely seen, King of Bollywood was one such experiment with Om Puri playing an aged ex superstar who refuses to let his throne be taken over. The film covers everything under the sun in bollywood, and makes fun of everything from Astrologers advise to casting couch.... The film is treated in a humorous way and keeps you entertained throughout

Direction is superb Music is great and suits the theme

Om Puri is perfect for his role and slips into it with such ease that he becomes the character, Kavita Kapoor is good, Diwakar Pundir is good Manoj Pahwa,Murli sharma and rest are good

Nicely done movie that satirizes the ongoings in big bollywood productions. The costumes are very unique. Om Puri delivers an inspired performance yet again. Its amazing how he just eases into the lead role and pulls it off effortlessly. There are very few actors in Indian cinema that I can think of who could fit into this role.

There were certain scenes that had me laughing hysterically. Also I was pleasantly surprised at the lack of cheesiness in this film. There was only one unnecessary song and dance sequence and even that was relatively short.

Go see it if you're looking for a laugh or if you are completely disillusioned with the mindless crap we are bombarded with through mainstream Bollywood cinema.

The Fabulous Om Puri!

Piyush Jha's Under-Rated 'King of Bollywood' is a funny tale, that reminds us how Fabulous An Actor Om Puri is. Puri, a legend, is at his best!

'King of Bollywood' Synopsis: A British journalist decides to make a documentary about a faded Bollywood star of yesteryear.

'King of Bollywood' is funny & takes a look at the off-screen life of a faded film-star. The Screenplay works, because it has its share of wit & humor. Piyush Jha delivers wonderfully as a Director.

I can't imagine 'King of Bollywood' without Om Puri. As the faded Bollywood star, Puri plays the narcissist with magnificent ease. He's a joy to watch from start to end.

On the whole, 'King of Bollywood' Salutes The REAL King of Bollywood - Om Puri.
