- CLIMAX: The man and woman couple are being held captive and both beaten badly: she gets two backhands to the face resulting in a bloody lip; he gets hit with a heavy fist, the butt of a gun, and even a kick to his face...
- ...The man shoves an attacker and gets shot in the process as the woman makes a run for it. She procures a gun and knocks an attacker out with a hit to the head. The man, her husband, is still alive, gripping the bleeding wound in his stomach. The last two armed attackers hover over him...
- ...A shootout results in the man's father getting shot and one of the attackers killed. The last attacker aims to finish off the woman's husband, who is even bloodier than before, but the attacker is shot and killed by the man's wife. As she tends to her husband's injuries his father (who survived) calls 911.

- A man we learn only two scenes later is innocent and not a murderer, corners and threatens his son's wife with a knife upon meeting her for the first time. Then upon discovering her police wire he takes her hostage (unbeknownst to his son, her husband)...
