Louise Orth has thrown Gus Pixley over in favor of European nobleman Charles Murray. However, when Murray comes into Pixley's barber shop for some barbering, Pixley sees a chance for vengeance in this decent but unremarkable slapstick from Biograph.
A year earlier, when Mack Sennett had left Biograph as director of its comedy films, it was at least partly in frustration. His bosses had kept his work to a reasonable facsimile of reality: no outrageous slapstick or people whose clothes were weird burlesques, just normal-looking little guys triumphing over normal-looking big guys. However, as soon as Sennett was installed at Keystone, making wild and wacky farces, the people in charge started moving their comedies in the same direction. Only not as good.
