The upset Super Bowl win propels the Pats to the beginning of a dynasty.
blanbrn3 February 2008
"Super Bowl XXXVI" would feature the NFC Champion St. Louis Rams who would make their second Super Bowl appearance in three years this time to face the double digit and underdog New England Patriots. The game would begin tough as the scheme that the Pats D would use would take away the greatest show on turf and slow the Rams receivers as New England would employ 5 DB's on many schemes. Tom Brady would be smooth in only making his 18th pro start. The Rams would seem so out of place as three turnovers, dropped passes and poor play plus QB Kurt Warner's banged up thumb would have them trailing 14-3 at the half. The second half would have the Rams rally and tie the game at 17-17. Yet with 1:30 remaining QB Tom Brady would begin and show his first glimpse of greatness that would propel the Pats on a beginning of a dynasty. Brady looked Montana like and smooth as he drove the Pats on a drive and as time expired Adam Vinatieri kicked the game winning 48 yard field goal for a 20-17 win and upset! This game was the first sign of much more greatness from the New England Patriots.

The Upset Of The Century
stp432 February 2004
Superbowl XXXVI was perhaps the most emotionally draining game in the event's history. Taking place mere months after the 2001 act of war that was September 11, the event went out of its way to salute America and its resistance to international terror. The two teams in contention were both superb examples of the small-town ethic that is America in the St. Louis Rams of the midwest and the New England Patriots of Foxboro, MA.

The Patriots were 14-point underdogs derided for their lack of star power and also for the quarterback controversy surrounding their win in the AFC Title game the week before. The Rams basked in the glow of attention granted Kurt Warner, Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, Ricky Proehl, and the other members of their high-octane offense and strong defense. The Patriots, meanwhile, had seen season-starter Drew Bledsoe, plagued by outside doubts as to his ability under second-year coach Bill Belichick, injured in the team's second game, and low-ranked backup Tom Brady elevated to starter. From there the Patriots went on a tear, winning 11 games in the regular season and then a controversial game over the Oakland Raiders in the AFC divisional playoffs. In the AFC Title game in overwhelmingly favored Pittsburg Brady was injured and Bledsoe came off the bench, scored a touchdown, drove the team for a key field goal, and led the team to the big upset win.

Now the Rams and Patriots were slotted to meet for the world championship of professional football. They had met earlier in the year in Foxboro in a 24-17 win by the Rams, a win that coach Mike Martz acknowledged was against a Superbowl-caliber team. The Patriots proved that with an early INT by Ty Law for a touchdown, and a Brady to David Patten TD late in the first half.

But the decisive pivot came when Warner was hit at the Patriots 1-yard line, fumbled, and Tebucky Jones of the Patriots ran in for the touchdown - except a controversial holding penalty on Willie McGinest negated the Pats' score and allowed the Rams to punch in for a TD. Late in the game a pass to Ricky Proehl tied the game at 17, and with less than two minutes to go Tom Brady was faced with a drive to kick a winning field goal against a Rams defense that had stiffened when it had to the most.

The Superbowel that changed the face of the nfl
ThunderKing65 February 2021
After the Towers were demolished. Brady and the Pats was destined to win and a higher up hidden hand had chosen him to win this Superbowl. Brady Earned it.

I was only 11. After this i became a Patriots fan. Bandwagon or not I was always loyal to the Pats.

Anyways the Superbowl game was so real, an unbelievable time. One of the best games, moment of all time to purposely create the best QB of all time in Tommy Brady.

Who I feel is planned to win this Sunday 2021 Superbowel.

Verdict: lets go Pats. Lets go brady

End of Summerall-Madden, Beginning of Tom Brady-Bill Belichick Dynasty
ShelbyTMItchell17 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This was the end of the celebrated Pat Summerall and John Madden era from CBS to Fox. Pat a straight man of a few words and Madden the tough as nails coach turned smart hilarious analyst that changed the game of football and analyst. Eight SB's and 21 seasons. Nobody can ever match that. But it was the beginning of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick nine SB appearances and six victories out of them. Brady and Belichick will be that of HOF player and coach respectively. Adam Viniatieri became a household name giving a name to kickers. Proven they were very important Miss Summerall and Madden. RIP Pat has since passed in 2013 and Madden retired in 2009.
