Something different (but not good) from Axel
"Sexcape" is one of those international shoots that were popular in the '90s VHS free-spending era, but hardly done nowadays.
It concerns sad sack Chelsea Blue, carrying a torch for an Italian love named Alex (who we see in monochrome flashbacks with her, but who goes uncredited), who went back home after a summer affair and never returned as he promised.
She's living with Black actor David Steele, cast as a ne'er-do-well who is unemployed and living off Chelsea, and her aunt played by '80s wonder Cara Lott, still short-haired but now a full-fledged MILF. Cara is the best thing in the picture.
Chelsea's best friend is Tina Tyler, doing some fine acting and finer humping here. But the show goes off the rails when Chelsea arbitrarily goes to Italy in search of Alex, a trek she just as arbitrarily ends when she's told he's living in London now. It's just an excuse for auteur Axel to throw in a series of extraneous Euro porn sex scenes featuring some top talent of the day, including Maria Bellucci, Mike Foster and Frank Gun.
Braun's very loose and pointless screenplay climaxes with Tina verbally setting up another extraneous sex vignette starring old Claudio Bergamin as a chef training Gina Rome in the culinary arts, ending with him demonstrating how he adds his own "special sauce" to spaghetti with a cum shot.
Features ends glumly and unsatisfactorily with Chelsea looking and talking glum about her fate. Just another example of Braun's incompetence, which somehow (call it payola for short) has made him the most awarded pornographer of recent times.
