During filming in August 2003, the UK had a heatwave that reached record breaking temperatures of 37.9 degrees Celsius. It was incredibly hot, there were clear blue skies and the sun wouldn't go away. For story and continuity reasons, most of the weather was disguised to look overcast; at times a rather difficult task.
Luke Townsend was originally to appear as Nathan, but ended up playing Herbie instead due to scheduling conflicts.
