Mario Van Peebles in Baadasssss! (2003)

Goofs

Baadasssss!

Edit

Revealing mistakes

When the world premiere sells out at the end, Van Peebles walks down the aisle and the audience on his right are cheering the movie and their arms disappear in the aisle.

Anachronisms

While making "Sweet Sweetback", Melvin Van Peebles makes a reference to TV's "Soul Train", a show that would not be introduced into nationally syndication for another year.
When Melvin is composing the music with Earth, Wind and Fire, the bassist can be seen playing an Ibanez ATK series bass. Although Ibanez were making musical instruments in the '70s, the ATK series was not available until the mid-1990s.
Forty-seven minutes into the film, Van Peebles hands his lead actress a few fifties to be in his film and they are the new $50 bills.
When Melvin glances at his checkbook just before visiting Bill Cosby to request a $50,000 production loan, the Bank of America logo on the check is the current version introduced in 1998.

Errors in geography

While in the "D"...Detroit, The DJ announces the radio station's call letters beginning with "K" Call letters for radio and television stations in that area of the country start with "W".
