Funny....but....

This is a clever mockumentary that looks like one of those E Channel shows about some has-been celebrity. It's done very well and it was nice to see they got some actors that looked a lot like the actual people (such as George Lucas and Natalie Portman)--and it's obvious they spent a lot of time trying to get this right. The only problem with it is that Jar-Jar is such a thoroughly hated character that even seeing a mockumentary that makes fun of him might in of itself be too much--as many don't even want to think about him. However, given that it has a nice happy ending and it's short, sweet and to the point, I recommend anyone who is sane and over age 8 to watch it (that's because kids and crazy people like Jar-Jar and might be annoyed with this film). Well done and clever.

Dynamite!

An absolutely dead-on, fantastic spoof of an already tired E True Hollywood Story. The film is very brief so it never overplays its hand. One of the most striking aspects of the film is how well it follows the rules of E True Hollywood Story, yet it finds endless ways to poke fun at the show while still delivering on the mandatory Star Wars in-jokes and overall madcap humor. Leif Einarsson is an excellent director and his massive background in special effects make the difference in this film. Some of the highlights include the crazy French critic: "Jar Jar showed that little bitch Mickey Mouse who the real boss is." A fabulously gay Darth Maul, numerous cameos and doctored pictures, and the so-called "archival footage" is hysterical. The actor playing George Lucas was especially brilliant. All in all, one of my favorite Star Wars spoofs and definitely a must-see for ALL Star Wars fans.

Funny stuff, man! Dave Estes, Leif Einarsson and Alok Mishra are sheer geniuses! A complete laugh-fest from start to finish! If you have not seen it I highly recommend you do, and if you have seen it, then by all means watch it again! Great likenesses of George Lucas and Natalie Portman! If you saw the Lucas produced "R2:D2 Beneath the Dome" and liked it, you'll love this! This JarJar "mockumentary" was made before that one and most likely the inspiration behind it!
