Guns, guns, guns!
udar5526 July 2009
Two cops are trying to bust a drug ring that is shipping cocaine to the US inside of corpses. To make matters worse, our leads are always two steps behind a vigilante killer who is offing all of the bad guys with a shotgun (and the problem there is?). Mexico has produced a lot of exploitation cinema (Mexploitation?) but it is rare to find one that was dubbed into English like this one. This is a really enjoyable cop film with such an emphasis on bloody violence that it reminds me of the 70s Italian crime films. Hell, the idea of killing a kid and stuffing his corpse with bundles of cocaine is straight out of the Henry Silva sleaze-fest CRY OF A PROSTITUTE. Naturally, the Mexicans one up the Italians by having the kid's intestines fed to dogs. The only thing missing here is a car chase. Sure the opening credits highlight one, but I suspect it was from an earlier cop film starring lead Valentin Trujillo.

A police officer full of infinite weapons, iconic scenes and lots of action.

Warning: Spoilers
Valentin Trujillo's movies had 3 things in common: They were of average quality, they had too many weapons and a lot of action and I think that's why we all followed every movie he released with the pleasure of seeing well-done action scenes.

Narcotics Police, tells us about 2 police officers who are experts in action and well trained for any situation, who are gradually consumed by an environment of violence and are prepared for whatever it takes to achieve their objectives, a series of events awaiting them to those who are not prepared.

With some things that give a murky air to the film, we see how Valentin Trujillo continues with his decision to put an end to drug trafficking in his city, facing a mafia that has many surprises prepared for him, they even show us how little by little the drug trafficking is becoming integrated into society.

With great performances by Valentin Trujillo, Rodolfo de Anda and Sergio Goyri, we see how the film takes shape and little by little they give you dozens full of action and adventure, which is what was always expected from cinema of this type.

Daft 70s Cop TV Show, made as a film in the 80s
Sic Coyote5 January 2007
I have just watched this under it's UK Dubbed title of Occupational Killer which had some wonderful cover-art :) And that's about where the wonderful stops, if you think a 70s Italian crime drama, with a hint of bond and a dollop of the UK TV Series The Professionals you may be starting to get an idea of what to expect from this film.

It's really quite indescribable but I'll have a go at describing the plot.

When a child is kidnapped, gutted and stuffed with drugs terror is on the streets. The cops are out to get the drug lords, but a new vigilante is also on the loose taking out the evil doors before the police can get to them. Could it be someone on the inside of the force? everyone's a suspect! With plenty of shootouts, squib deaths and falling from high places this wont fail to disappoint fans of 'bad' police thrillers, complete with inappropriately funky musical score and opening titles.
