Not an overall bad film. I saw this at some NYC film fest a few years ago, and it's really a lot of fun. The narrative is slick, the editing even more slick and the film is stylized very well. This was done on a DV cam, but due to editing and clever use of graphics, you hardly can tell. My only problem was that the film moves very fast, but really goes nowhere.

Clever style but also disgustingly crude

Warning: Spoilers
The story is narrated by a guy named "Ace Buvone" and his goal is to teach everyone to save time and get the most of every day. The style is quite refreshing and clever, as Ace tells why he's happier and more successful now that he's streamlined his life. Despite his assurances that his life is great, Buvone comes off as a loser and those around him laugh at him. This is all very clever. However, despite this, I can't recommend the film because it's so unnecessarily crude--not just excluding it for kids but for folks who just don't want to deal with this crudity. You get to see Ace urinating (it's not completely shown, but enough), lots of intense cursing and his recommendation that to really streamline your life you should get rid of relationships and just masturbate (as we see a clip of him in the act). It's nice to see so many small independent films that are edgy and take chances, but this isn't one of them--it just came off as gross and ruined a potentially good narrative.

This time management tool is no waste of time

Warning: Spoilers
** Vague spoilers ** _________

Efficiency-obsessed bicycle messenger Ace Bivone offers a rapidfire barrage of his best personal multi-tasking tips as he demonstrates how to make the most of each moment of your life. He realizes too late that despite his obsession -- or perhaps because of it -- he actually has no life. He has given away his last best hope for happiness to a rival, and he still doesn't quite understand. He lost sight of the big picture while squeezing the most out of the least details.

Very sly and funny. The pace is, well, HYPER, and you never see the end coming. In fact, you're never sure where it's going, but it's definitely a fun and fast-paced ride.
