Kate Hudson in Raising Helen (2004)

Goofs

Raising Helen

Edit

Continuity

Audrey's hair alternates between messy and straight between shots.
At Lindsay's birthday Jenny's daughter, Jasmine, has a broken arm. During the scene at the Davis house (after the funeral) a woman is talking to Jasmine and Oliver, her arm is not broken. But it is again in the next scene.
Helen takes the hair stick out of her mouth twice when she is getting ready to go to the club at the beginning of the film.
At the fashion show, Paris Hilton is seen arriving and sitting down in the section of seats next to where Helen and the kids are. Later, when Sarah sees Paris's dog, she is sitting across the catwalk.
In the beginning of the film when the sisters are in the kitchen there is a pot on the stove with something clearly visible and when they cut back it is gone.

Factual errors

St Barbara was an early Christian martyr. There never would be a "Saint Barbara Lutheran School" (or church, for that matter). The only saints Lutherans venerate would be characters in the New Testament, like St Paul, St John etc (original disciples).

Revealing mistakes

When Henry and Sarah are fighting over which bed they get, you can see Sarah mouthing Henry's lines as he's saying them.
When all the children and Helen are talking at the table, Sarah's hands move between shots.

Character error

Pastor Dan at the Lutheran school agrees that "heaven, hell, purgatory, everything" (paraphrased) is part of Lutheran (a protestant denomination) belief, but purgatory is particular to Catholicism, and one of the larger points of difference between Catholic and Protestant churches.
When Nilma introduces herself, she introduces herself as Nilma Prasad, and when Helen is looking for a new job, she refers her to her husband Ravi. However, when Helen shows up on the used car lot, she asks for a Ravi Patel instead of a Ravi Prasad.
In the limo, Martina tells Helen that she has a four year old. However, if this were true then she'd know better than to close her eyes when playing "makeup" with a bunch of kindergarten students. Especially in the presence of permanent markers.
