Andy Garcia and Inés Sastre in The Lost City (2005)

Goofs

The Lost City

Edit

Continuity

50 minutes in the movie there is a scene where Fico interrupts Pizzi's dinner. You see Fico with a burning cigarette in the mirror's reflection. He pulls his cigarette from his mouth. Then the camera angle switches directly on him and you see him with a non-burning cigarette in his mouth. When you see Fico's reflection again the cigarette has disappeared from his mouth.

Revealing mistakes

At 1 hour and 44 minutes, when Ricardo commits suicide by gunshot, one can hear him cock the pistol and yet when he raises it into frame the hammer of the weapon is not cocked nor does the slide of the pistol recoil when he pulls the trigger. Furthermore despite no casing being ejected and him being in a field of tobacco, one hears the metallic clink of metal as if the spent round fell onto a solid floor.

Plot holes

Meyer Lansky and the rest of the mob already had large and legal casinos in Cuba. He would have had no need for a side room in a nightclub.
