Much of it has been used before
Behind the outlaw's gun was a man who at least knew .what was decent. He had induced the sheriff's son, a weakling, to gamble with gold not his own and had won it from him. Later, wounded to his death, he is helped by the sheriff's wife and gives back the gold so that the boy's father never knows how near to being a criminal his son was. There is action all through the picture and it has several exciting situations. The players have done their parts well and, though much of it has been used before, it will make a serviceable offering. It is a picture that will be liked. - The Moving Picture World, July 26, 1913
