The Sense Of Touch - The supposed accidental death of a blind man leads Montalbano to an island off the coast of Sicily. Upon the passing of a local fisherman Montalbano discovers that he and the blind man had each deposited huge sums of money in their respective bank accounts. Following the mysterious demise of another blind man, the investigation begins to focus on a charitable organisation helping the blind which turns out to be less innocent than it first appeared. There is a sub-plot to the story involving the guide dog belonging to the first victim which Montalbano takes home from the crime scene.
